Tree Plantation drive at Chennai

On August 31st, 2019, a remarkable “Tree Plantation Drive” took place at Ten Sports, Chennai, in collaboration with the International Association for Human Values, leaving an enduring impact on the environment and the community. This thoughtful initiative saw the planting of several native plant species, including the revered Indian Gooseberry, the versatile Neem, and the resilient Pungam.

The choice of these native plants is significant, as they not only contribute to the green cover of the area but also hold immense cultural and ecological importance in India. The Indian Gooseberry, known for its rich vitamin C content, is cherished for its health benefits, while the Neem tree is celebrated for its medicinal properties and environmental resilience. The Pungam tree, with its sturdy presence, provides shade and sustenance for local wildlife.

This tree plantation drive is a testament to the commitment to environmental conservation and community well-being, demonstrating that small actions can make a substantial positive impact on our surroundings and our lives. It stands as a beacon of hope, inspiring more such endeavors to nurture and protect our precious natural heritage.
